Rookie Reader of Vedanta 2 The Teacher

This section makes a brief note on who is a teacher and what motivates a teacher. Everything here comes from Swami Ranganathananda's lecture and from Swami Nikhilananda's writings.

"The Upanishads stress the method of knowledge more than that of formal worship. The truth is to be realized by hearing about it from a qualified teacher, reasoning about it in one's own mind, and lastly by contemplating it."  p. 82  The Upanishads, A New Translation by Swami Nikhilananda, Volume 1, Advaita Ashrama Publication.

I plan to post here audio clips of my chats with myself on Vedanta. There is enchantment  in the texts I am now reading for the first time.

My main sources are

The Upanishads in 4 volumes by Swami Nikhilananda
Vivekachudamani in Swami Ranganathananda's exposition, including his lectures available online in audio files.
